CONCEPT

Can science help to find the love of one’s life? Whilst sites and phone applications for dating multiply and the means of finding an ideal partner seem more and more numerous than ever, one observation has been obvious for a number of years: living together occurs later in life than in the past, the number of marriages is declining, the shelf life of these partnerships is shorter than before and the divorce rate is higher.
Mariés au premier regard offers to marry singles who have volunteered who the channel put together under the supervision of three experts with the help of an algorithm. Without ever seeing one another the candidates apply hundreds of conditions that the partner should meet before accepting to meet and marry.
The couple and their families who have never met before discover each other on the day of their wedding. They say yes and after several weeks of living together decide whether or not they are going to stay together or divorce.
