CONCEPT

For a long time, society relegated short people to the status of fantastical figures, characters from fairy tales or myths. But behind these projections are real women and men.

Violette is chief of staff at the Ministry of Culture. Lilou is a high school student. Sébastien is a teaching assistant. Sonja is preparing to take on the challenge of the GR20 long-distance hiking trail. Four unique journeys, one shared struggle: living in a world designed for bodies that are not their own.

In their daily lives, everything becomes an ordeal: spaces, stares, laughter. In a conformist society that excludes difference and normalizes ridicule, they must constantly adapt, resist.

For the first time, they speak out. They open the doors to their private lives and invite us to take a step back: to see the world from their perspective. To have a genetic condition, to be less than 1.40 meters tall, and yet to study, work, love, and strive for excellence.

Through their life stories, they reveal their wounds but also their strength, their aspirations, and their struggles. A moving film that deconstructs stereotypes, questions our perceptions, and teaches us to see things differently, leaving behind the myths that obscure our reality to finally access it.
